Apple fined $570m, Meta $228m for breaching EU law, risking Trump fury
BRUSSELS — Apple was fined 500 million euros (US$570 million) on Wednesday and Meta 200 million euros ($228 million), as European Union (EU) antitrust regulators handed out the first sanctions under landmark legislation aimed at curbing the power of Big Tech.
